Invasive Threats, Native Beetles, and Drought Stress - Lunch Workshop - Roseburg, OR

Workshop on invasive threats to forests, focusing on insects and drought stress. Nov 13, 2026, at OSU Extension, Douglas County. $10.

Join us for a OSU Ext. Forest Health "Lunch and Learn" focusing on the major insect and environmental disturbances impacting our local landscapes. This workshop will cover the looming threat of invasive species, with a specific look at the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) and Mediterranean Oak Borer (MOB). They will also discuss the significant impacts of native insects, particularly the Flatheaded Fir Borer (FFB). The session will explore how native forest insects combined with severe drought and other abiotic stressors drive tree decline and mortality. Whether you are a small woodland owner or a forestry professional, you will walk away with a better understanding of how to identify and navigate these critical forest health challenges.

Lunch will be provided so you can comfortably come learn on your lunchbreak!
